Can You Wear Colored Contact Lenses with High Power? (Yes, Here's How)
分享

One of the most common things we hear from customers: "I want to try colored lenses but my power is too high."
Good news — it's not.
The Myth: Colored Lenses Only Come in Low Power
A lot of people assume colored contact lenses are mostly for people with 0 power (no prescription) or very mild ones. That used to be somewhat true for certain brands, but it's no longer the case.
Our Jeucons collection goes from 0 all the way to -10.00, which is 1000 degrees. In 0.50 steps. That covers the vast majority of wearers — including those with quite strong prescriptions.
Understanding Your Contact Lens Power
If you wear glasses, your contact lens power is usually slightly different from your glasses prescription. Your optometrist can give you the exact contact lens equivalent — it's a quick calculation they do all the time.
If your glasses power is around -5.00 or below, your contact lens power is typically very close to the same number. For higher powers, there's usually a small vertex distance correction.
Key point: before ordering powered lenses, always go off your contact lens prescription — not your glasses prescription directly.
What "1000 degrees" Means in Contact Lens Terms
In Malaysia (and most of Asia), we often talk about power in "degrees":
- -1.00 = 100 degrees
- -2.50 = 250 degrees
- -5.00 = 500 degrees
- -10.00 = 1000 degrees
Jeucons covers the full range up to 1000 degrees, in 0.50 increments. So whether you're at -3.50 or -8.50, there's a power for you.
Which Jeucons Lenses Are Good for High Power?
All of them — the power range is the same across the collection. But if you're wearing lenses for longer hours or have sensitive eyes, we'd suggest:
- Ring Brown — natural, comfortable for daily wear
- Sweet Dream Brown — soft look, good for all-day use
- Dreamy or Night — if you prefer something more understated
These are all MDA certified and sensitive eye friendly — available in both monthly and yearly options.

Start with a Trial Set
If you've never worn colored lenses before (or never worn them with your prescription), the Trial Set at RM59 is the easiest way to start. You get 2 pairs to try, plus travel kits — so you can test the fit and comfort before going all in.
Over 1,000 customers started this way. Most of them are still with us.
